Melinda (Mindy) J. Eberhart founded MJE Consultants, LLC back in 2009, and she provides accreditation, regulatory and compliance consultation for the home medical equipment (HME), clinical respiratory and home infusion pharmacy industries. Mindy has more than 25 years of experience, and she is also a licensed respiratory care practitioner, and holds a degree in Health Administration.

Prior to establishing her consulting business, Mindy held senior corporate-level positions for companies ranging in size from $4 million to over $300 million. Positions previously held include, but are not limited to: Corporate Director of Clinical and Regulatory Compliance, Director of Patient Services and Vice President of Compliance, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs.  Mindy has extensive experience in policy and procedure development, personnel and patient education, quality improvement programs, accreditation compliance, acquisition due diligence, facility licensure, medical gas/DOT/FDA compliance, and billing/reimbursement auditing. In addition, since 2009, Mindy actively performs HME and home infusion pharmacy surveys for one of the accrediting bodies.

Mindy has served on various committees for American Association for Homecare for several years, and previously assisted the Association as their Professional and Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) representative for the Joint Commission. She also assisted in the redesign of the AARC Clinical Practice Guideline – “Oxygen Therapy in the Home or Alternate Site Healthcare Facility” in 2007.  In addition, Mindy co-authors the Medicare Reference Guide, which is a resource containing general Medicare coverage criteria for HME, infusion services and complex rehabilitation/assistive mobility equipment.
